A new reason to run… or walk, jog, stroll
An exciting new event has been added to Perth’s sporting and community calendar: the HBF Run for a Reason.
To be held on 23rd May 2010, the HBF Run for a Reason will be a true community event, bringing together people of all ages and levels of fitness who will thrive on the opportunity to run for their reason, whether that be achieving personal fitness goals, simply having a fun day out with family and friends or to fundraise to help fight chronic disease.
The HBF Run for a Reason has been designed to give participants a spectacular perspective of the Perth CBD. The Act-Belong-Commit 14km course includes three freeways and the first ever opportunity to walk or run through the Northbridge Tunnel since its opening. The Act-Belong-Commit 4.5km course winds around Gloucester Park and through East Perth. Both courses finish on the iconic grounds of the WACA.

A suite of training materials are available to assist in preparing for the event, including training guides, running and stretching information, nutrition, footcare and mental preparation guides. To find out more about the event or to register, visit www.hbfrun.com.au or any HBF Branch. HBF members receive a 20% discount on entry.
Please note that none of the registration fees will be donated to Arthritis WA, so if you want to support us by taking part in this event, you must choose to fundraise for us. When registering on www.everydayhero.com.au to fundraise, you can choose to join the Arthritis WA team (password: livewell)or you can start your own! Why not get a team of 10 friends together and make a day of it?
People who support us will receive a Bone & Joint Pack featuring a t-shirt and sweatband to really help us stand out on the day! This is a wonderful way to be a part of your community and help raise money for a worthy cause. Let’s make it a great event!
