Arthritis KEYS Program

…unlocking the door to managing your arthritis.

Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA is pleased to announce the launch of their updated and revised disease specific programs. These programs are informed by medical evidence and aim to empower people to live well with arthritis. Led by health professionals, the programs will teach you about strategies and skills to assist you to manage your arthritis effectively.

We currently have Arthritis KEYS Programs for:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Ankylosing Spondylitis/Psoriatic Arthritis

We are now offering some of these programs ONLINE so you can manage your condition at home.  These LIVE information sessions will give you the opportunity to interact with other participants and ask questions from the health professional(s) during each session.

The program can be accessed from your computer or laptop (with or without webcam) or even your ipad or smartphone. All you need is an internet connection.


Osteoarthritis (OA)

This program was previously specific to osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. It has been revised and is now relevant and open to people with OA of the hip, knee, foot, shoulder, elbow or hand.

Six interactive group sessions of 2.5 hours duration held weekly and conducted in a friendly and supportive group atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to attend all six weeks to gain the most benefit from the program.

Topics include:

  • Information about your condition
  • Physical activity and exercise
  • Pain management and medications
  • Emotional health
  • Healthy Eating
  • Finding the right support and much more…

Cost: $35 per person ($40 with partner/support person)

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unsure whether you have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis,  please confirm your diagnosis with your GP or specialist before enrolling in this program.


Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

An updated education and self-management program designed specifically for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis which aims to educate individuals about their disease and provide up-to-date information on the best ways to manage it.

Led by health professionals, the programs will teach you about strategies and skills to assist you to manage your arthritis effectively.

Six interactive group sessions of 2.5 hours duration held weekly and conducted in a friendly and supportive group atmosphere.  Participants are encouraged to attend all six weeks to gain the most benefit from the program.

  • Pain management and medications
  • Emotional health
  • Healthy Eating

A newly developed education and self-management program run by health professionals, designed specifically for people with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis. This program aims to educate individuals about their disease and provide up-to-date information on the best ways to manage it.

Six interactive group sessions of 2.5 hours duration held weekly and conducted in a friendly and supportive group atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to attend all six weeks to gain the most benefit from the program.
