SUMMARY:Falls Prevention Exercise (Level 2) - Tuesdays 11:45am Shenton Park
DESCRIPTION:Term 4: Mon 12th October – Sun 13th December 2026 (9 weeks)\nClass Details:\nFalls Prevention Level 2 is a circuit-style exercise class that builds on the strength\, balance\, and technique developed in Level 1. \nThis program is designed for participants who have successfully completed Falls Prevention Class (Level 1) and have been recommended by the instructor to progress to the next stage.  \nResearch highlights that progressive exercise (i.e. gradually increasing complexity\, strength\, and balance challenges) is highly effective in further reducing fall risk and enhancing functional independence. By incorporating more advanced movements\, Level 2 helps participants continue to build muscle strength\, improve balance\, and increase confidence in performing everyday activities. Education topics discussed each week reinforce safe practices and provide practical strategies for reducing fall risk.  \nThe class format includes a variety of circuit-based exercises\, some performed in a kneeling position or on the floor\, with modifications available for those unable to do so. Movements are progressive\, safe\, and adaptable\, ensuring each participant can work at a level that suits their ability while still being challenged. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing\, bring a water bottle\, and continue building on the foundations developed in Level 1 within a fun and supportive group environment.  \nVenue: Seminar Room\, Wyllie Arthritis Centre\,\n17 Lemnos Street\, Shenton Park.\nCost: Please see ticket details below to view term class fees.\nClass Times: You may only attend the day and time allocated for this class (once per week) \nRegistration Details:\n– Online registrations will close at 4pm\, one business day before the term start date for each class (i.e. online bookings for Tuesday classes will close at 4pm on Mon 12th October).\n– If you are interested in joining after online registration closes\, please get in touch with our staff at 9388 2199 to assist with your request\, \nTo successfully complete registration\, you must either:\n– Answer ‘No’ to all six questions (numbered 1 – 6) OR\n– Gain clearance from your GP/medical specialist PRIOR to participation in the exercise if you have answered ‘Yes’ to one or more of the questions numbered 1 – 6\n– Agree to the *Terms & Conditions outlined below. \nClick here to read our Term-Based Exercise Terms & Conditions.
