Event Information

Back pain can be a real pain.

Are you experiencing low back pain?  You are not alone, as millions of Australians encounter back pain at some point. When experiencing low back pain, it can be concerning for you, as even the simplest of everyday tasks, like getting out of bed, can be extremely difficult.

An impressive line-up of speakers will present on the following topics:

  •  Professor Peter O’Sullivan (Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Professor of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Curtin University) will discuss non-medical management of persistent low back pain.
  •  Dr Stephanie Davies (Pain Medicine Physician) will discuss medical management of persistent low back pain, including medications, procedures and interventions.
  •  Mr Trevor Barker, a consumer with low back pain will present an account of his journey, from pain onset through to investigation, treatment and management. Trevor works as a Community Engagement Officer for Pain Revolution in Tasmania.

Numbers are limited so please register early to reserve your place.  Seats allocated on a first come first served basis.
