Yes! I will help young adults like Ollie have a place to belong, build friendships, and feel truly supported.
“When I was younger, there was nowhere for kids like me to go. I just wanted to find people who understood.” – Ollie

Ollie is a fierce advocate for young people with disabilities, a member of the human library, and was even named WA’s Young Person of the Year.
But behind his quick wit and big smile lies a daily battle. He lives with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and an extremely rare autoimmune condition called RAS-associated autoimmune leukoproliferative disorder—or simply RALD.
While his joints ache and exhaustion is a constant companion, it’s the isolation that hurts the most.
“When I was younger, there was nowhere for kids like me to go. I just wanted to find people who understood.” – Ollie
For years, Ollie searched for that understanding. Then, he found Camp Freedom. A place where his struggles were understood, not judged. A place where, for the first time, he made friends who truly understood what it was like to live with chronic conditions. He found solace and understanding.
“I finally met people who got it. I wasn’t alone anymore.” – Ollie.
Now, Ollie’s mission is to ensure no one else feels that crushing isolation. He creates communities, mentors younger kids, and builds bridges of connection. He wants to recreate the feeling he found at Camp Freedom, a place where young people find their place.
But connection takes more than good intentions. It takes resources. It takes YOU.
Every week, young adults like Ollie come through our doors, seeking more than just medical care. They crave connection, understanding, and a sense of belonging. Your gift can be a lifeline. It can be the moment someone like Ollie finds their place.
- Provide life-changing experiences at Camp Freedom.
- Expand vital programs that build support networks.
- Ensure no young adult faces their challenges alone.
Don’t let another young person feel lost. Give the gift of belonging today.
