A Successful Arthritis Seminar in Tuart Hill
On the 14th of August, we hosted our Healthy Living with Arthritis seminar in Tuart Hill, and we are thrilled to report that the event was a resounding success! Over 70 participants gathered to gain insights from our expert speakers.
The seminar featured two speakers who brought their wealth of knowledge to the table: Anita Clayton and Paul Trainor.
Anita Clayton, a retired nurse and dedicated board member, delivered an engaging presentation on managing arthritis, osteoporosis, and related conditions. Her talk covered a broad range of topics, including:
- Understanding diverse arthritis and osteoporosis conditions: Anita talked about the different forms of these conditions and their unique challenges.
- The importance of proper nutrition: She highlighted how diet can help in managing symptoms and improving overall health.
- The benefits of getting a diagnosis and the steps involved.
- Effective pain management strategies: From medication to alternative therapies, she explored various ways to alleviate pain.
- The role of exercise: Anita discussed how regular physical activity can help maintain joint function and reduce discomfort.
- Supporting mental health: She also stressed the importance of mental well-being in managing chronic conditions.
Attendees left the seminar with a deeper understanding of how to manage their health and a sense of empowerment to take control of their well-being.
In addition to Anita’s insightful presentation, we had Paul Trainor, a solicitor with over 34 years of experience in estate planning and Wills. Paul’s session was both informative and engaging, as he expertly navigated complex legal topics with a touch of humour and storytelling. He addressed some of the most pressing questions on estate planning, including:
- What happens if one of your children lives overseas?
- What should you do if you don’t have a close family member to serve as an executor?
- Can the executor also be a beneficiary?
- Is it legal to divide inheritance unequally among your children?
Paul’s ability to simplify these complex issues and use real-life examples resonated with the audience, and his advice left many feeling more confident about planning for the future.
