About the Class
We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new Pain Management & Exercise Class, launching in 2025! This innovative program is led by Melanie Galbraith, a highly qualified health professional specialising in managing complex and persistent pain conditions.
Through a combination of education, exercise, and relaxation, this hybrid class is designed to provide you with the tools and strategies needed to take control of your pain, improve your physical function, and enhance your quality of life.
What to Expect
Each 90-minute session includes:
- Education (30 minutes): Learn practical strategies for understanding and managing pain.
- Exercise (45 minutes): Engage in a personalised exercise session focused on strengthening muscles and improving functional movement.
- Guided Relaxation (15 minutes): Conclude each class with calming techniques to support mental and physical relaxation.

Melanie Galbraith
Mel is a graduate of Curtin University with over 20 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy across Australia and the UK. She holds an MSc in Medicine (Pain Management) from the University of Sydney and has been instrumental in developing the renowned STEPS program at Fremantle Hospital Pain Medicine Unit.
Her expertise includes working with individuals to manage persistent pain, and she is actively engaged with the Australian Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
