Our classes, led by led by experienced health professional Melanie Galbraith, offer evidence-based support for people living with persistent pain through education, movement, and relaxation.
Which Class Is Right for You?
We offer two dedicated classes in 2025 to support your pain management journey:
1) Pain Management Program
Best for people who are new to pain management or want a comprehensive, supportive introduction.
This weekly class combines education, tailored exercise, and guided relaxation to help you:
Understand the science of pain and how to manage it
Build strength and improve movement
Learn practical strategies for living well with chronic pain

Engage in a personalised exercise session to strengthen muscles and improve functional movement. - 🧘 Guided Relaxation
Conclude each class with calming techniques to support mental and physical relaxation.

2) Exercise for Pain Management
Best for people who have already completed an educational pain program (like our Pain Management & Exercise Class).
This class is designed for ongoing support through movement and relaxation. You’ll continue to develop strength, mobility, and confidence with professional supervision.
To join this class, you must have completed:
✔ Our Pain Management Program or
✔ A similar pain management education course
What’s Included:

Engage in a personalised exercise session focused on strengthening muscles and improving functional movement. - 🧘 Guided Relaxation
Conclude each class with calming techniques to support mental and physical relaxation.

Melanie Galbraith
Melanie graduated from Curtin University in 1994 and has been working as a physiotherapist for the past 30 years, including 10 years in the UK. Mel’s own experience with persistent pain led her to complete a Master of Science in Medicine – Pain Management via the University of Sydney, and she has specialised in this area for the latter half of her career. Mel has been connected to the Arthritis Foundation for over 10 years, providing consumer and health professional education on pain management and exercise.
