With a strong focus on chronic disease management\, he has worked across various healthcare sectors\, gaining deep expertise in arthritis care. \nAs the recently appointed Vice President and Board Member of Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA\, Dr. Joe is dedicated to advocating for better health outcomes\, research\, and education in the field of arthritis. He actively contributes to policy discussions and medical publications\, ensuring that healthcare professionals are equipped with the best strategies to enhance patient quality of life. \n  \n  \n  \nDr Krista Makin \nShe graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle\, Australia\, in 2005. She completed her Basic Physicians Training and Advanced Training in Rheumatology in Western Australia. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. \nShe is currently Head of Department Rheumatology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where she is involved in clinical work and teaching. She consults privately at St John of God Murdoch Hospital and provides a regular rural service to Dunsborough in the south of Western Australia.
