Event Overview

Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA, with the support of UCB as the event sponsor, is pleased to offer this free education session for health professionals in Kalgoorlie.

Led by local rheumatologists Dr Ai Tran, Dr Tafere Berhane, and Dr Chanakya Sharma, this session will explore early recognition and management of inflammatory arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, and giant cell arteritis. It will also provide practical advice on interpreting positive blood test results in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

This interactive session includes a live Q&A and will be delivered over a plated two-course dinner in a relaxed environment.

      • Recognise early clinical signs and symptoms of inflammatory arthritis, PMR, and GCA
      • Interpret positive blood test results in suspected autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic disease
      • Apply evidence-based management strategies in chronic musculoskeletal care
      • Consider how to address these conditions in regional and rural healthcare settings

This session is open to all health professionals, however may be specific to General Practitioners, Rheumatologists, Pain Specialists, and Allied Health Professionals.
