22nd Aug 2017 Rheumatoid/Psoriatic Arthritis Education & Self-Management Program MANDURAH

This 6 week program is specifically for people with diagnosed rheumatoid or psoriatic  arthritis. It offers a holistic approach providing disease specific education and self-management techniques and is run by health professionals.

23rd Aug 2017 Evening Inflammatory Arthritis Social Group (Cockburn Central)

An evening social group in the south metro area for those who have an Inflammatory Arthritis such as Rheumatoid/Psoriatic Arthritis or Ankylosing Spondylitis, and would like to get to know others in a similar situation. Meets at a cafe in Cockburn Central on 4th Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm.

24th Aug 2017 NEW Rockingham Arthritis Support Group

A NEW support group for those who have any type of arthritis.

Meets 3rd Thursday of the month at the Swinging Pig in Rockingham for afternoon tea from 2pm - 3.30pm.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, this month's meeting will be held a week later on 24th.

A support group for those who have an Inflammatory Arthritis. Meets in Shenton Park on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 10:30am til 12noon. Come along to meet others in a similiar situation.

20th Sep 2017 Bunbury Arthritis Social Group

Do you have arthritis? Would you like to catch up with others that do? Come along to this social group for anyone with arthritis. Share experiences with others in a similar situation. Meets 3rd Wednesday of the month in Bunbury at 9:30am.

21st Sep 2017 Making Sense of Pain - a workshop for Health Professionals

What does "Making Sense of Pain" have to offer offer that differs from other Pain Management workshops and seminars? Firstly, ours is the only interdisciplinary workshop in WA designed specifically for health professionals. Secondly, our workshop includes significant input from our "Pain Champions". Thirdly, we introduce the important concepts of intersubjectivity and "third space" engagement, as well as  considering different ways to reframe the experience of pain. Fourthly, we encourage health professionals to put into practice the new knowledge and skills that they have gained from attending our wokshop. 

NOTE: Arthritis and Osteoporosis WA  and the Health Department of WA have agreed to subsidise this Workshop, making it affordable for all interested health professionals. Numbers are limited to 20 registrants.

21st Oct 2017 Advances in Skeletal & Mineral Medicine: A Clinical Update on Bone and Mineral Disease and Osteoporosis for GPs

This 1 day clinical meeting is suitable for medical practitioners who wish to update their knowledge in the common issues of bone and mineral disorders, presenting as growth disorders and fracture in childhood, and as fractures, bone pain and deformity in adults.
The meeting will also cover balance and falling disorders in the elderly that contribute to fracture; focal bone disease and disorders of mineral metabolism; and address a coordinated team approach for patients with skeletal disease.
