Hydrotherapy Pool

Next 12-Week Block Dates: Monday 13th January – Friday 4th April 2025

HYDRO ACCESS & REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Access to AOWA’s Hydrotherapy Pool is for those with a chronic musculoskeletal condition.
  • Registrations for all hydrotherapy sessions are necessary to limit numbers. Participants must pre-book and pay for their hydrotherapy sessions prior to attending.
  • Standard registration for a 12-week block of sessions will be available online from 12 pm Wednesday 11th December 2024 via the links below.
  • Casual bookings will open Monday 13th January 2025. Please contact our reception to check availability.

Hydro Session Types

Aqua Fitness: moderate intensity/faster pace Hydrotherapy for cardiovascular fitness incorporating strength and endurance conditioning to enhance functional movement. The class will finish with a stretch and release.

Gentle Movers (formerly Warm Water): low intensity/gentle pace Hydrotherapy for improving range of motion, coordination and balance for every day functional movement. The class will finish with stretch and release.

Instructor Guided Open Pool: for independent participants who wish to do their individual Hydrotherapy program and can bring a program from their allied health professional. Alternatively, a qualified instructor will be available to guide participants and answer any questions regarding correct alignment and form. The supervising instructor can also offer exercise ideas for participants wanting to work on their balance and coordination.

External providers of exercise supervision are not permitted in AOWA’s hydrotherapy sessions.

Casual Hydro Block (8 sessions)

You now have the option to buy a package of Casual Hydro Sessions, designed for use over the 12-week block period. This package offers a combination of cost savings and flexibility, providing you with casual tickets at a reduced rate. Please note that bookings will still be necessary.



Term-Based Exercise Classes

Term 1, 2025: Monday 3rd February to Sunday 13th April 2025

AOWA’s next term of classes for land-based exercise and JIA hydro are opening for the period ahead. Please find further details below.

Registration details:

  • All registrations for this term period open 12 noon on Wednesday, 15th January 2025.
  • Online registrations will close at 4 pm, one business day before the start of term for each class type (e.g. online registrations for Monday classes, excluding JIA Hydro, close 4 pm Friday 31st January).
  • If you are interested in joining after online registrations have closed, please contact our staff to assist with your request.
  • If you wish to attend more than one class per week (for example Monday, 9 am Osteoporosis and Wednesday, 9 am Gentle Yoga) you will need to register for additional classes throughout the week.
