“Surgical Management of OA knee” Mr Daniel Meyerkort, Orthopaedic Surgeon
“The Role of Diet in the Management of OA knee” Dr Emily Calton, Clinical Dietitian
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Assess the efficacy and safety of various pain management strategies in the
treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
2. Identify when a patient with osteoarthritis of the knee should be referred for
surgical opinion.
3. Discuss different exercise options for a patient with osteoarthritis of the knee.
4. Apply up to date evidence to inform patient discussions about OA knee
management, including modifiable risk factors.
