Terms and conditions
These terms explain who may enter the free prize draw, how the winner is selected and the arrangements for accepting the donated scooter. By entering, you agree to these terms.

1 Promoter
The promoter is Arthritis Foundation of WA Incorporated, trading as Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA (AOWA), ABN 43 390 598 024, of 17 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park WA 6008. Enquiries: marketing@arthritiswa.org.au or (08) 9388 2199.

2 Eligibility
Entry is open to Western Australian residents aged 18 years or over. AOWA employees and board members, anyone directly involved in administering the giveaway, and their immediate families are ineligible. Immediate family means a spouse or partner, parent, child or sibling. Eligible members of the public do not need to be AOWA members or service users.

3 Entry period and method
Entries open on Monday 14th September 2026 and close at 3pm on Friday 6th November 2026. All times are Australian Western Standard Time (AWST). Complete the entry form at www.arthritiswa.org.au/raffle during this period. Entry is free. No purchase, donation, membership or newsletter subscription is required. Usual internet access charges may apply. One entry per person only. The entry form asks for your name, suburb, email and phone number only. By entering, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements in clause 2 and that your details are accurate. Duplicate, fraudulent, automated, materially false or late entries may be excluded; otherwise, valid entries will not be rejected arbitrarily.

4 Prize and condition
The prize is one donated, pre-owned Sterling S425 motorised mobility scooter, kindly donated by Nedlands Rotary Club. The user manual, battery and charger are included. The scooter's exact age has not been confirmed. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash.

5 Winner selection and notification
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries at 10am on Monday 9 November 2026 at 17 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park WA 6008. Each valid entry has an equal chance. The draw will be independently witnessed and recorded. AOWA will contact the winner by phone on Monday 9 November 2026 and publish the winner's first name and suburb on AOWA's Facebook page that day. The winner must contact AOWA and accept the prize by 10am on Monday 30 November 2026, three weeks after the draw. AOWA will make reasonable repeat telephone contact attempts during that period. Claiming means accepting the prize and arranging collection; physical collection is dealt with in clause 7.

6 Unclaimed or declined prize
If the winner is ineligible, declines the prize or does not claim it by the deadline despite reasonable contact attempts, a further random draw from the remaining valid entries will take place at 10am on Tuesday 1 December 2026 at the same location, subject to applicable requirements. AOWA will contact the replacement winner by phone and announce their first name and suburb on its Facebook page on the redraw date. The replacement winner has three weeks from the redraw to claim the prize. Any further unclaimed prize will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and regulatory directions.

7 Collection and ongoing costs
The winner must arrange collection from 17 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park WA 6008 within 30 days of accepting the prize, or another period agreed with AOWA. An authorised representative may collect it. The winner is responsible for arranging and paying all collection, transport and delivery costs. Delivery is not included in the prize. AOWA will not charge a fee to claim or collect the prize. After handover, normal running costs, insurance, servicing and maintenance are the recipient's responsibility. Handover includes the user manual, battery and charger.

8 Suitability and safe use
Winning the scooter is not a clinical assessment or a recommendation that it suits a particular person's medical or mobility needs. The intended user should seek advice from an occupational therapist or another appropriately qualified health professional about suitability and safe operation before use. Users must follow the manufacturer's instructions and applicable laws. If the scooter is unsuitable, the winner may decline it under clause 6.

9. Optional eNews subscription
Entrants may separately choose to subscribe to AOWA’s eNews by selecting the optional subscription checkbox and providing their email address. Subscribing is not a condition of entry. Choosing to subscribe, declining to subscribe or subsequently unsubscribing does not affect eligibility, or the chance of winning. Where an entrant opts in, AOWA will use the subscription details provided to send and manage their eNews subscription. Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in eNews. Entering the giveaway or accepting these Terms and Conditions does not, by itself, provide consent to receive eNews or other marketing communications.
