Yes! I will help a child find friendship, support and a place to belong.

“Camp isn’t just a holiday. It’s a lifeline.” – Debbie, Camp Nurse and Official ‘Camp Mum’

Right now, 70 children across WA are counting down the days to Camp Freedom – WA’s only dedicated camp for young people living with chronic musculoskeletal conditions like Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

But this year, with the cost rising to $2,142 per child, we urgently need the help of generous people like you to make it happen.

To help a young person get to camp this October, please complete the donation form to your right.

Your gift is 100% tax-deductible, and your tax receipt will be emailed immediately.

How your gift will make a lasting difference.

Every October, Camp Freedom gives children aged 5 to 17 the chance to challenge themselves, connect with others and simply be kids.

Over five precious days, they race through colour runs, cook camp feasts, conquer climbing walls and rope courses — and most of all, they build confidence and friendships that can last a lifetime.

But Camp Freedom is much more than just a fun week away. It’s a place where young people learn to live well with their condition — from managing medications and navigating friendships, to building independence, advocating for themselves, and seeing a future full of possibility.

For many young people, it’s the only environment safe enough for them to experience time away from home.

Many of our campers come with complex medical needs. They require CPAP machines, feeding tubes or tightly timed medications. To keep them safe — and ensure they can experience camp fully — we need a 24/7 team of nurses, physios, support staff and volunteers.

And that’s before we even cover the basics like meals, transport, accommodation, activities, and insurance. It all adds up — and it’s why your big-hearted support is so needed.

Camp Only Lasts Five Days — But the Impact Lasts a Lifetime

“When I’m at camp, it doesn’t really feel like I have arthritis anymore. Because at camp we’re all the same.” Summer

“Camp helped me realise I’m not the only one going through this.”Erin

“I finally found a place where I can belong.”Ollie

“Camp gave my daughter confidence and pride in who she is. She met other kids just like her. Her condition is no longer something sad in her eyes.” Parent

“At school, where strength is often measured by how fast you run or how hard you kick, these kids fall behind. But camp shows them they’re capable of anything.”
Emma, mum to three children with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

Please give today. You’ll help a child find more than just a week of joy — you’ll help them find a place where they truly belong.
