- ‘Latest News in Arthritis’– Winthrop Professor Johannes Nossent, Head of Rheumatology & Musculoskeletal Medicine UWA
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Prof Nossent’s research has continued to progress well, with several studies being published in scientific journals and presented at conferences. His current research activities include projects on rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus and ankylosing spondylitis. Professor Johannes (Hans) Nossent was appointed as the inaugural Chair of Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Medicine in Western Australia in June 2014. His main research interests are the epidemiology, and outcome of systemic inflammatory auto-immune diseases, with a special focus on the development and use of biomarkers in this field.
