Testimonials

Here’s what some of our beneficiaries have to say about their experiences with
Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA

"This was my first The Arthritis Getaway (TAG). It was great to hear everyone’s experiences and share my story with people who understand. I had such a great time, and everyone made me feel so welcome. Arthritis can be so unpredictable, and living with arthritis can sometimes feel isolating, so it was really nice to get away and be around other people who are living with similar issues."
Laura M
The Arthritis Getaway (TAG)
"I wish my Doctor had referred me to the 'Arthritis Keys Program' five years ago when I was first diagnosed! It would have made a difference in how I managed my rheumatoid arthritis. Knowledge is self-empowering! Thank you. Great presenters."
KEYS Self-management Program
"I had the time of my life! I met new friends, learned so much about my condition and found a place where I felt welcome, accepted and understood. By the end of my time at Camp Freedom as a camper, I had decided I wanted to become a leader as soon as I turned 21. My reason was to reciprocate the encouragement and support the leaders had imparted to me during my years attending."

"I contacted AOWA by phone as I have recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the spine and feet. The lady I spoke with was very informative. She put me at ease and answered all my questions thoroughly."
Telephone Advisory
"Thank you for working so hard to give us this amazing opportunity to meet other kids with Ehlers Danlos Syndromes (EDS). My favourite activity at Camp was sky biscuiting! Even though the water was absolutely freezing, it was so fun; flipping off + holding on and even watching other people was hilarious. I can’t wait until next year!"
